Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant exited his first game against his former team in the fourth quarter on Thursday night because of a left hamstring injury.

Morant had 14 points and three assists in 23 minutes before leaving and being ruled out of the Trail Blazers’ 124-103 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Coach Micah Nori said after the game that Morant felt a twinge in his hamstring, and Nori hoped to have more answers on Friday.

“I’m hoping that it’s nothing major, obviously,” Nori said.

Morant’s Debut Season in Portland

Morant, in his first season with Portland after spending the first seven years of his career with Memphis, is averaging 16.3 points and 6.3 assists in 26.7 minutes per game. The Trail Blazers began the season 3-0 before suffering their first loss on Thursday.
