Jose Alvarado will miss the New York Knicks’ NBA Cup game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday because of a right ankle injury, according to the NBA’s injury report.
Alvarado will miss his fourth straight game. He last played last Friday in Boston, logging 10 minutes.
Knicks coach Mike Brown did not give much indication that the injury is a long-term issue when asked about it on Tuesday night.
In Alvarado’s absence, Tyler Kolek has performed admirably, recording 21 assists and zero turnovers over the past three games.
